Things to look forward to in August:
Cottage hunting with my aunt
Ramping back up for Girl Guides in September
A bit more camping, if I can
Ella Bella turning nine-years old
Getting Melrose microchipped
Spending two glorious weeks in NFLD visiting family and going down Burnside

August 02, 2017 - Dana Ogilvie, seen here outside his Westbrook home with his name tag and show souvenir, got to check off an item from his bucket list by attending and making it onto the popular game show The Price is Right in mid-July. The show will air in early October 2017
August 03, 2017 - The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority reminds the public that the shoreline part of Trail 1 at Lemoine Point Conservation Area is closed to the public due to flooding and damage caused by debris and erosion, seen here in Kingston, Ont. on Thursday August 3, 2017. Staff is constantly evaluating the trails and the water levels need to recede enough for repairs before it can be re-opened.

August 07, 2017 - Approximately 40 supporters of Save Our Prison Farms gather for the weekly Monday night vigil at the entrance to the Collins Bay Institution at Bath Road and Centennial Drive. On the seventh anniversary of the cattle being removed from the local prison farm, the group is optimistic about the possibility of the prison farm program re-opening with both the Federal Government and Correctional Services of Canada initiating investigations looking into the feasibility of the programs return. It has been seven years since the cattle were removed from the prison farm, on August 9, 2010

August 10, 2017 - The Island Queen, a Kingston 1000 Island Cruises triple decked paddlewheeler, is being repaired in the Davis Drydock in Kingston, Ont. on Thursday August 10, 2017 after an undisclosed situation.

James Potvin, 9, and his father Chris Potvin, arrive in Sydenham, On on Tuesday August 29, 2017, which is about halfway through their cycling adventure from Whitby to Giver Playground in Mooney's Bay, Ottawa. James, who has been diagnosed with Autism, is helping raise awareness and fund for the Grandview Children’s Centre, to help support more Grandview Kids, just like him.
