365 - May 2017

May seems like it's going to be pretty wet, but I hope it will lead to a nice summer and colourful fall.

Things to look forward to in May:
- Lot of camping this month, including Guider training
- DIBC weekend camp that will include a visit to the Canadian Raptor Conservancy
- Opening of the Drive Inn - gonna go see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 with Beauty and the Beast
- Nicer weather, park walks and photo walks
- Mother's Day celebrations
- The start of ball season
- Victoria Day fireworks
- My cross-Canada trip to visit Kathy and road trip back to Kingston (It's going to be amazing)

May 10, 2017 - The 245 students, along with staff and visiting parents, help walk a mama and her 12 ducklings from the school courtyard to a nearby pond as part of the annual Duck Walk.
*EXTRA* May 10, 2017 - For the eighth year a mama duck has returned to have her babies in the enclosed courtyard at John XXIII Catholic School, which has lead to the school holding its annual Duck Walk, which has the 245 students creating a living hallway to help guide the duck family out of the courtyard, through the hallways, out the back schoolyard, down the road to a nearby pond
